As a Principal and co-founder of Preferred Government Properties (PGP), Phil has over 20 years of experience in real estate and investment banking. He has successfully completed the acquisition and finance of commercial real estate portfolios collectively valued at over $750 million, two-thirds of which are occupied by Federal Government agencies. Phil’s areas of expertise include management, due diligence planning and execution, structure and negotiation of transactions, and sourcing of transactions, debt and equity as both a principal and advisor.
Prior to joining Preferred Government Properties (PGP), Phil served as a principal and the COO of Kaufman Jacobs LLC, as a Managing Partner and Co-founder of Brio Capital Management LLC, and an associate at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette. Prior to this, Phil was the Director of Acquisitions at P & A Associates, a Real Estate Development Company, where he analyzed and developed feasibility and due diligence studies.
Phil’s responsibilities at PGP include day-to-day management of financial activities, GSA leasing and lease management, acquisitions and dispositions, and strategic development.
Phil earned his BA from Colgate University, and his MBA in Finance from Emory University, Gouizueta Business School. Phil currently serves on the board of Temple Shalom and Maot Chitim and is a past member of the UJC’s Young Leadership Cabinet. Phil resides in Chicago with his wife and three children. |
